WANT TO MEET US IN PERSON?
Come to a monthly Happy Hour - no drag required.
Since 1988, the Dupont Social Club has brought together members of the LGBTQ community in friendship and fellowship, while supporting each other and the community at large. Through events like the Miss Adams Morgan Pageant and Valentine’s Day Is A Drag, the Club has raised thousands of dollars for nonprofits serving LGBTQ+ causes across the DC region. Members have also supported and performed in drag events throughout the city, including at the Kennedy Center.
Founded in 1988, the Miss Adams Morgan Pageant was born through an act of aggression towards several of the organization's founding members. The pageant's founders sought to provide a safer environment for DC's LGBTQ community to enjoy the annual Halloween festivities. The Miss Adams Morgan Pageant has grown into one of Washington’s most iconic annual LGBTQ+ events—an evening of drag, entertainment, and spectacle that brings together thousands of attendees from across the region. Known for its satire, campy performances, and larger-than-life personalities, the Pageant has cemented itself as a highlight of the city’s cultural and social calendar.
